The Ivory Billed Woodpecker has allegedly been spotted in Florida. Very soon, they’re going to claim he was getting a slushy at a 7-11.
“The ultimate prize is finding pairs visiting roost holes and making babies, that would be the holy grail,” said John Fitzpatrick, director of the Cornell lab, which consulted with the Auburn team. “Absent that, the intervening step is to get a photograph that allows everyone else to see the evidence and get on board.”
Given that the ultimate prize for most mobile home residents seems to be “visiting roost holes and making babies,” you gotta wonder if it’s a coincidence that these sightings are in states with a very high percentage of trailer parks. Getting photographed for TV that allows everyone to hear what the tornado sounded like is a close second.
I’m just sayin….
